Our Story

 

Our well loved Christmas puddings are made using my mother’s original family recipe which has been guarded closely by all family members. It has been passed down through the generations of my family for the last 150 years and originates from County Meath in Ireland. Each Christmas my mother Maureen would make her wonderful puddings for her friends and family in Ireland, a tradition she still carries to this day, even though she is now well into her nineties. Carrying on her tradition, and using her original recipe, I have been making Christmas puddings for my friends and family here in Australia every Christmas for the last 20 years. The smell of the dark brown sugar and spices invokes images of her mixing puddings in her kitchen, and serves as a visceral connection to my family and heritage.

Using the finest local and imported natural ingredients, without any artificial flavourings or colouring, our puddings are lovingly made by hand in small batch quantities and individually weighed to maintain their quality. They are then steamed for six hours to produce a moist, delicious, rich pudding. Served up warmed or at room temperature, my personal favourite, our puddings are certain to enrich any Christmas family feast from our family to yours.
